Who will benefit from this course?

This course is aimed at technologists involved in all stages of the footwear supply chain and production process. It provides an invaluable range of footwear knowledge and can culminate in an internationally recognised qualification.

How to obtain SAFT accreditation

Each module is covered in detail during two days of intensive training led by SATRA specialists and includes comprehensive documentation. Once the module is complete, you will be notified of the next opportunity to take optional written examinations.

To achieve SAFT accreditation, you will need to obtain a pass in five of the nine modules and these must include: lasts, fitting and comfort; materials; and constructions and product design. The others can be chosen according to your own preference. You do not need to take all five examinations at one time, but you must obtain passes in all the papers within two years to obtain accreditation.

Available exclusively to SATRA members, the course is run on a regular basis at SATRA in the UK and in the USA. If numbers are sufficient, the courses can be delivered at your company.
